Feminist School:Nasrin Sotoudeh, the defending lawyer of Mansoureh Shojaee, returned to the Revolutionary Court today, January 12th, and was informed that her client’s request to change her detention order was rejected.

Nasrin Sotoudeh added, "I returned to the Revolutionary Court to follow up on the case of Mansoureh Shojaee and that of my other clients. I was informed that Mansoureh Shojaee has objected to her detention order and asked that it be changed. Her request had been sent to the Branch of 26 of Revolutionary Court, where the judge rejected it, and their detention order was extended for another one month because her interrogation was incomplete’’.

In addition, Mansoureh Shojaee’s husband did not receive a clear reply when he went to the Evin office on January 11. Farhad Davoudi added,"When I returned to the Revolutionary court, they told me that because all magistrates and judges are in Evin prison, I should go there. It was for this reason that I went there. But when I went there they said that the security cases had nothing to do with their office and that I should wait for the magistrate himself to contact us.’’

Mansoureh Shojaee, scholar of women’s issues, a women rights activist, and one of the founding members of Campaign for One Million Signatures, was arrested in her home on 28th of December 2009 . Her family were not allowed to visit her from that time to the present and she has had no contact with her family since last week.
