feminist school : Mahboubeh Karami , a women’s rights activist was released on bail in the amount of $110,000 on August 25 2008 after being detained for more than 70 days in Evin Prison.

she was arrested while the bus that she was travelling in with other passengers passed a protest in the street on June 13 2008 near Mellat park.

she was held in section no. 240 and women’s ward under inhumane condition as a result she has lost more than 15 Kg weight .Her lawyers were Shirin Ebadi and Houshang Pourbabaie.
