Freedom of Khadijeh Moghadam on Bail with the Amount of $20,000

Feminist School: Khadijeh Moghadam the last new year detainee is released with a caution of new charges in process.

Khadijeh Moghadam was arrested with eleven other members of the campaign and Mothers for Peace on April 26,2009 whilst planning to visit the families of the prisoners for the occasion of the Persian new year. ten of the detainees were released on March 30,2009.and then Mahboubeh Karami was released on April 7,2009.

Yesterday 8th of April Khadijeh Moghadam attended court in her defence and was to pay $50,000 for third party guarantee but was rejected by the assistant of the public prosecutor because of a new case which Khadijeh Moghadam was in the process of being charged. According to Nasim Ghanavi (defending lawyer) elaborated that Khadijeh Moghadam was cautioned about the new case in the process, the new charges against Khadije Moghadam is for propagation against the state through activities in the campaign for one million signatures and mothers committee and financial aid to the campaign and also disobeying the police in dispersing whilst gathering in front of the Palestinian embassy in support of the Palestinian cause.

After cautioning about the new charges the bail was made to $20,000 and was released after payment.
