Feministschool: Mahdieh Golroo, a women’s rights activist, was arrested in her house on October 26,2014 by security forces after inspecting and confiscating her personal belongings . Mahdieh Golroo along with some Women Rights Activists who had participated in a peaceful protest on October 22, their protest was held in response to the recent acid attacks on women in Isfahan.

Mahdieh Golroo, born on the 24th of August 1985-Tehran, is a student and women’s right activist, a member of the Iranian Women Citizens Association and the Right to Education Council and previously barred from university because of her activities.She was arrested on December 2nd ,2009 and sentenced to two years imprisonment for propaganda against the state and was given another 6 months of imprisonment for writing a letter in prison about the Student’s day anniversary. she was released from prison on May 19,2012 after finishing her prison term.
