Feministschool: Since the Feminist School, decided to organize a celebration to express joy for the award to Nasrin Sotoudeh, it brought back so many memories.

Thus, in recent weeks the friends of the Feminist School have thought of applying for permission to hold the ceremony in Farhang Saraya Banu (Banu house of culture ) in Tehran and we thought what would be an appropriate gift to present to a woman who has committed for many years to defend those who needed help?

Two weeks ago we were asked for the list of speakers and we wrote among many names Shirin Ebadi, Simin Behbahani, Farideh Gheyrat.jila Bani yaghoub, Giti pour Fazel, but despite the high price of 150,000 tuman that they asked for the rent of the hall, in the end we were refused permission to hold our much wanted event.

At this point we decided to make the event an international affair. So we decided to prepare a special program for ’Nasrin on 22 November in the site of Feminist school and dedicate all our pages to Nasrin and lawyers like her.

This evening, while I was reviewing the photos that were taken from Nasrin by our photographer Arash Ashurnyia, supporter of the women’s movement. I began to think about the past years which I could not talk to Nasrin. In those years she was not yet a lawyer and I was not still so dangerous for the government to be in need of legal assistance. But she helped me find my way to express my sorrow for the injustices towards women.

Today I would like to thank her not just because she was my lawyer all these years, but for the things I learned from her and for the confidence and courage. life and the difficulties made us not seeing each other often, but the beauty of a friendship that has been consolidated in those two years will remain forever.Again I look for an opportunity to recall those days with her and, tell her the importance of her friendship in my social life and in the formation of my thoughts and express my deep respect for her.

In happy days like this in which the world recognizes and applauds her efforts by attributing another prize, to her and the women’s movement in Iran I sing with joy. "Oh woman, you the presence of life … the day of slavery has gone, every thing is possible …"

Today we can say: "what we have planted in the garden has grown! The luxuriant tree of the women’s movement now in our country is growing, and so now we can love our country. And that plant can grow by taking everything that needs in the world, because when you have a plant not only your land belongs to you but the whole world. " .

A prize from another part of the world makes us happy and proud, a small change in our laws by our jailers makes us happy and proud, the small steps to achieve equality between men and women.

When this plant will have solid roots there will be no more differences between men and women there will be any more prisoners and jailers, no more differences between nations, but above all there will be no longer strangers.

We put all these sentiments and small achievements of Justice at the foot of our tender plant, with the hope that the small, sweet daughter of Nasrin still more than her mother hates injustice and abuse and will defend life because it is just and human.

Da quando, alla Feminist School , abbiamo deciso di organizzare una festa per esprimere la gioia per il premio assegnato a Nasrin Sotoudeh, mi sono tornati in mente tanti ricordi.

Così,nelle ultime settimane le amiche della Feminist School hanno pensato di chiedere ai responsabili il permesso di fare una festa nel farhang saraye banu ( casa della cultura Banu) per Nasrin e abbiamo pensato: cosa possiamo regalare a una donna come lei che si è impegnata per tanti anni a difendere i suoi clienti, che non ha fatto che andare su e giù dalle scale dei tribunali e nonostante tutte le offese e le ingiurie subite non ha mai smesso di difendere i suoi clienti.

Due settimane fa ci hanno chiesto la lista dei relatori e noi abbiamo scritto fra gli altri i nomi di Shirin Ebadi, Simin Behbahani,Farideh Gheyrat.Gila Bani yaghoub Giti pour fazel, Questi sono i nomi delle relatori che abbiamo indicato ,ma ,nonostante l’alto prezzo di 150.000 tuman che ci hanno chiesto per l’affitto della sala, alla fine non ci hanno concesso il permesso.

A questo punto abbiamo pensato di far arrivare in tutto il mondo , tramite Internet e i vari siti, la voce e gli interventi dei relatori.

Quindi, abbiamo deciso di preparare uno speciale programma sul sito Dedicando a’ Nasrin il 22 Novembre e in tutte le pagine mettere il suo nome e discorsi e interventi su di lei e su altri avvocati come lei.

Questa sera, mentre guardavo le foto che sono state scattate a Nasrin dal nostro fotografo Arash Ashurnyia, sostenitore del movimento delle donne, in occasione della premiazione a Nasrin, nonchè il poster collegato all’evento ,ho cominciato a pensare agli anni 90 e ai ricordi di cui fino ad oggi non ho potuto parlare con Nasrin. In quegli anni lei non era ancora avvocato ed io non ero ancora così pericolosa per il governo da aver bisogno di assistenza legale. Però lei mi aiutava già a trovare la mia via e a esprimere il mio dolore per le ingiustizie verso le donne.

Oggi io la vorrei ringraziare, non solo perchè è stata il mio avvocato in tutti questi anni, ma anche per le cose che mi ha insegnato e per la fiducia che mi ha incoraggiata ad avere. Poi, la vita e le difficoltà ci hanno allontanate, ma la bellezza di una amicizia che si è consolidata in quei due anni rimarrà per sempre.

Sempre sono andata in cerca di un’occasione per rievocare con lei quei tempi ,dirle l’importanza della sua amicizia nella mia vita sociale e nella formazione del mio pensiero ed esprimere il mio profondo rispetto per lei.

Nel giorno felice in cui il mondo riconosce e aplaude ai suoi sforzi attribuendole un altro premio, a lei e al movimento delle donne in Iran con gioia io canto. " Oh donna , tu la presenza della vita...é finito il tempo della schiavitù, tutto è possibile..."

Oggi possiamo dire : " Le mani che abbiamo piantato nel giardino cresceranno ! L’albero rigoglioso del movimento delle donne ora nel nostro Paese sta crescendo, e per questo ora possiamo amare la nostra terra. E quella pianta possiamo farla crescere prendendo tutto quello che esiste nel mopndo. Perchè quando hai una pianta non solo la tua terra ti appartiene ma tutto il mondo ti appartiene." .

Se ci rende felici un premio che arriva da un’altra parte del mondo, ci renderà felici anche un piccolo cambiamento nelle nostre leggi da parte dei nostri carcerieri, piccoli passi per arrivare all’uguaglianza fra uomini e donne.

Quando questa pianta avrà solide radici le differenze fra uomo e donna non ci saranno più, prigionieri e carcerieri, non ci saranno più differenze fra le nazioni, ma soprattutto non ci saranno più stranieri.

Noi porremo tutti questi sentimenti e le piccole conquiste di giustizia ai piedi della nostra tenera pianticella, con la speranza che la piccola, dolce figlia di Nasrin possa ancora più di sua madre odiare l’ingiustizia e la prevaricazione e difendere la vita perchè sia giusta e umana.
