Women’s dainty shanks are gone to the gallows, and their voice still can be heard/Mansoureh Shojaee

Feminist School:Last Saturday early morning I found that another woman has been excuted in Iran….when I heard her name I thought deeply and I just remembered I have had a short experience of talking with her.... it was last year in the Evin prison.

One day the prion’s autorities asked all women prisoners from all different wards (confinement or public) to come to the Corridor to fill in common questionnaires, while we all had blinders and worn Chador,... so none of us could see the other one.

Suddenly, one of the prisoners woman who sat beside me asked my name secretly and then she told me her name (Zahra Bahrami) and she added she didn’t permanently live in Iran....naturally I had never heard her name before and I just told her my name .....but she continued and told me the number of her cell and I recognised that she was in the nearest cell to us...

Every time when she was brought for interrogation we met only her thin feet by very small split below of door of our cell ,she was dandy and chic even with Chador ....... and today I heard her execution news ....

.... I have still seen her thin foots but they are hanging between ground and sky and if the people have only a deep look at the sky can also see them... but her voice is still echoing in my ears,,,and since 30 years ago there have been so many kind of these voices as well in my ears....

Dear sisters, would you please kindly cut my ears.....it’s full of different voices... I wish I could cut my ears ....
