From the Underground to the University: Pictures of the "International Women’s Day" in Tehran

Feministschool: On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Association of Citizenship for Women had prepared two different programs which were unfortunately both cancelled at the last minute, despite a month of trying to find a public place for the event.

For this reason, some members of the group spent the whole day from the morning until the evening of Sunday March 8th, 2015, International Women’s Day, on the public buses , the underground and streets distributing sweets and celebrating the International Day with their countrywomen.Later on they went to the Sharif university, to listen to a programme on the International womens day to join students meeting and finally attended ’the house of cinema’ to watch a documentary titled "All my trees" (life of Mahlagha Mallah, the mother of environment in Iran.
